Some may wonder why this album was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the "Best Tango Album" category in 2024 and is a contender for the Premio Gardel in the same category in 2025.
In addition to tango, vals, and milonga, the album also features foxtrot, bolero, a ballad, and folklore rhythms. Mariana selected the vocal repertoire for this album during a period of separation, as a way of processing the end of a relationship.
All of the lyrics touched Mariana's soul during this phase, which is why she performs them as if they were coming straight from her heart. From both a musical and poetic perspective, this album is therefore an extremely successful work.
