Of the total of 14 tracks, largely original compositions or songs with Alfredo Tape Rubín as co-writer, three are instrumental, the others he masters with his voice and interpretations.
Guitar accompaniment and arrangements, unlike Cristóbal Repetto's, for example, are not oriented to the taut, gaudy style of the old Gardel recordings, but are more loosened up, multi-layered and melodic. Somehow they are more reminiscent of Ignacio Corsini's folk and guitar tradition-inspired accompaniments. Lacruz and Heler (guitar) play superbly, and what they do supports Rubín's vocals perfectly. Those who like singers and sung tango will discover a lot here.
