Carlos Dall´Asta
The Tango Book - Vollständiges künstlerisches Handbuch für den Tanz
414 Seiten, Softcover, 2024
Is it possible to systematically structure and comprehensively describe Argentine tango?
Is it presumptuous for an author to title a book "The Complete Method"? Dall'Asta makes this bold attempt and makes it clear right from the introduction that it is an almost utopian goal to describe all existing tango figures and illustrate their versatility.
At the same time, he invites creative participation in its further development. "If we share our knowledge with the people around us, we can all learn better," is his credo. Carlos Dall'Asta has written (and illustrated) an interesting book with great dedication to Argentine tango, which can be helpful for advanced dancers who want to systematically grasp the versatility of tango and perhaps pass on this knowledge.
